PayPath Lockdown

To avoid delays in payroll processing, UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages during payroll processing from Thursday, June 23, 5PM, through Friday, July 1, 6AM.

Job Record End Date Monitoring

Quarterly Reminder – June 2022

As of June 20, there are over 9,800 UCLA employee records with an “Expected Job End Date” on June 30, 2022. Monitor and ensure your department's records are up to date to avoid unintended job terminations or overpayments.

HR Templates – Override Last Date Worked

Last week, we announced that the UCPath Center corrected a defect with HR termination templates. As a reminder:

  1. Leave the checkbox selected for all termination template transactions: When initiating all templates, there is no action needed on this new field. 
  2. Make sure you enter the Last Date Worked: The system will process the correct date as long as the box is checked.

July 1 Retirement Processing and COLA Eligibility

As a reminder, to qualify for the inactive Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increase, eligible UC Retirement Plan (UCRP) benefit recipients must be retired one day prior to July 1, with a minimum of one business day not on active HR or Payroll status.

UCPath General Ledger and Funding News

FYE UCPath Funding Rollover Process

The UCPath Center provided two lists of funding entries and MCOP worksheets which will fail the rollover process. Note the upcoming freezes on transactions and take action by the corresponding deadline.


Program 1

The first program of the fiscal year-end funding rollover will initiate on June 24, 2022. 

During that time, please do not enter or update funding on Multiple Components of Pay (MCOP) positions. MCOP positions are defined as positions funded from at least one contract or grant fund where the employee is paid more than the fund’s cap. 

  • You can resume these transactions after the funding rollover completes on June 27, 2022, at 12:00 p.m.
  • By June 24, please review this list and fix the funding entries/MCOP worksheets that will fail rollover.

Review by June 24

Program 2

The second program of the fiscal year-end funding rollover will initiate on June 28, 2022. 

During that time, please do not enter or update funding on the Funding Page in UCPath. You can resume these transactions after the funding rollover completes on June 30, 2022, at 12:00 p.m.

  • By June 28, we encourage all departments to review this list and fix the funding entries that will fail rollover.

Temporary Change to Vacation Accrual Maximum Ends June 30!

Employees must reduce vacation balances below the maximum accrual amount prior to June 30, 2022, to continue accruing additional time. Reference UCnet for more details.

Date of Birth Field Encryption

The UCPath Center (UCPC) identified an issue where transactors may have encountered encrypted data when accessing the date of birth field in UCPath. This issue is now resolved.
 
If you continue to experience any issues, please open a case with UCPC.

Request to Update Your Address

On June 6, the UCPath Center requested that 60 UCLA Campus employees and 21 UCLA Medical Center employees update personal information to satisfy a UC Health Benefit vendor requirement.
