On June 8, we received the following alert from the UCPath Center.
NOTE: We updated the original communication for clarity and included local training resources.
HR Templates – Override Last Date Worked
The UCPath Center has updated the following Smart HR templates to include a new “Override Last Date Worked” check box:
- Complete Contingent Worker Instance- UC_COMP_CWR
- Involuntary Termination- UC_INVOL_TERM
- Voluntary Termination- UC_VOL_TERM
- Retirement- UC_RETIREMENT
What does the new check box do?
The “Override Last Date Worked” check box is a solution to a system processing defect originally reported in January 2022. Prior to this fix, if the employee had future-dated rows on a termination template, the system would automatically override the Last Date Worked, changing it to the day prior to the effective date of the transaction.
DEFECT EXAMPLE: An employee was on a leave of absence starting May 1 and decided, rather than return to work, they would end their employment effective June 1. In this scenario, the employee’s Last Date Worked should be May 1, but the UCPath defect automatically changed it to May 31.
What should I do when submitting templates?
- Leave the checkbox selected for all termination template transactions: When initiating all templates, there is no action needed on this new field.
- Make sure you enter the Last Date Worked: The system will process the correct date as long as the box is checked.
