Open Enrollment is almost here! Please read an important message from Dianna Henderson, Vice President - Systemwide Human Resources, about changes to health benefits for 2027.
Open Enrollment is an opportunity to review and make changes to your benefits for the 2027 plan year. We understand how important it is to choose the benefits that are right for you and your family. To make the process easier, UC employees will have a new, centralized way to access Open Enrollment information, explore benefit options and complete their elections through the enhanced UCPath Open Enrollment landing page.
What You Can Expect From Your Enhanced Open Enrollment Experience
The new landing page is designed to provide a convenient starting point for all your Open Enrollment activities, including:
- Easy access to benefit information, resources and important deadlines
- Clear guidance to help you review your options and make informed elections
- A streamlined way to access and complete your Open Enrollment elections in UCPath
- Key information organized in one place, making it easier to find what you need. With these enhancements, you can feel informed and confident as you review your options and make your benefit elections for 2027
Please mark your calendars with the following important dates:
Start: Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 8:00 AM PST
End: Friday, November 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM PST
Your current coverage will continue if you don’t take any action, except:
- Health and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) require annual enrollment
To ensure you’re prepared, we recommend taking the following actions:
Verify Your Personal Information
Navigate to the Personal Information Pagein UCPathand check your information is current.
- Review your home and mailing address for accuracy
- Update your personal phone number and email if necessary
- Select your preferred contact information so UCPath can send you important benefits information
Review Your Current Benefits
- Review your current Benefit Summary, plan enrollment and coverage. Located under Benefits & Retirement > View My Benefit Summary
- Review any recent changes in your personal or family circumstances and complete any applicable Life Event transactions before Open Enrollment begins
- Log in to UCPath to complete any pending benefit actions before Open Enrollment. You can navigate to Benefits & Retirement > Update My Benefits or Select My Benefits to check if you have open items
Verify Your Dependent Information
You can make updates to dependents’ personal information, such as their date of birth, by submitting an Update Dependent Info eForm located under Benefits & Retirement > Forms
Verify Dependent Eligibility
- If you received a Family Member Eligibility Verification request from UnifyHR, be sure to complete it for any dependents who still need verification
- Dependents who remain unverified will lose coverage and cannot be re-enrolled during Open Enrollment
