UCPath Blackout Oct 15

The UCPath system will be unavailable to all UC employees from Saturday, October 15, 6am to Saturday, October 15, 8pm while UCPath implements the Improved Navigation project.

PayPath Lockdown

BW: Oct 18-21 | MO: Oct 21-25

To avoid delays in payroll processing, the UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages during payroll processing from Tuesday, October 18, 5PM, through Tuesday, October 25, 6AM.

Refer to the UCPath Production Processing Schedule for start and stop times of the Pay Confirm.

Open Enrollment: Oct 27 - Nov 18

The 2023 open enrollment period will begin Thursday, October 27, at 8 a.m. and end Friday, November 18, at 5 p.m. 

  • UCPath will host open enrollment webinars starting at the end of October into November.

Biweekly On-cycle General Ledger Delivery Update (221001B1X)

On October 8, the UCPath Center announced that the biweekly summary and detail labor ledger results will be delivered earlier than scheduled.
 
Summary Ledger Impact: Delivered Early

  • Biweekly (221001B1X) on–cycle summary ledger process was completed Saturday, October 08
  • Summary ledger results will be delivered via Reporting Instance on (Saturday, October 08 by 6:00 p.m.)

 
Detail Labor Ledger: Delivered Early

  • Biweekly (221001B1X) on cycle detailed labor ledger processes will be completed Sunday, October 09
  • Detail labor ledger results will be delivered via Reporting Instance on (Monday, October 10 by 12:30 a.m.)

Vacation Maximum Balance for Part-Time Academic Employees - Update

On September 30, the UCPath Center (UCPC) fixed the defect that reduced vacation accrual maximums for academic employees who work less than a full-time equivalent (FTE). UCPC is correcting accruals for the impacted employees and tracking accrual cleanup via Jira UCP-121798.

Reminder:

There is no need to submit requests for accrual updates related to this issue.

UCPath Job Code - 4 to 6 characters

Currently, the UCPath system uses six-digit Job Codes with two leading zeroes. The UCPath Center will start utilizing these leading zeroes at the end of the 2022 calendar year. 
 
While stakeholders have been identified to address any downstream system complications that may arise from this transition, please contact the project team directly if you think this will impact your current processes or have any questions.

Note: If you are handling the full 6 characters and not truncating the job code in downstream systems, there should be no impact.

Update to Off-boarding System Process for Terminated Employees

UCPath is deactivating systemwide general deductions, additional pay, active stipends and active direct deposits for terminated employees without active appointments after 60 days.

Range Adjustment Discrepancies Update

The UCPath Center completed updates to compensation discrepancies associated with an error identified on September 13, 2022, in the October 1, 2022, ladder rank faculty range adjustment.

  • Location compensation managers received a final post-run report listing corrected employee records and employee records pending resolution on September 29, 2022.
  • Departments requiring assistance should continue coordinating with their location compensation managers to validate data, resolve identified errors and complete next steps.


Phone Service Introducing Virtual Agents

Beginning October 12, the UCPath Center Phone Service operations will introduce virtual agents to answer common questions regarding W2s, paychecks, vacation and sick accruals, direct deposit, employment verification and Public Service Loan Forgiveness forms.

Fluid Navigation Simulation

We created a custom UCPath simulation that allows you to see the new Fluid navigation before it's live! While you cannot transact in this environment, you may explore menus and functions. Here are quick steps to access the simulation:

  1. Click Launch Simulation button below
  2. Scroll down to the UCPath Environment Mockup
  3. Select "PeopleSoft Homepage" on the navigator menu.
