PayPath Lockdown

MO: May 24 - 27 | BW: May 31 - Jun 3

To avoid delays in payroll processing, UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages during payroll processing from Tuesday, May 24, 5PM, through Friday, Jun 3, 6AM.

Lockdown Modification

The UCPath Center identified a system enhancement that modified PayPath during payroll processing.

PayPath no longer displays in “read only” mode when preventing transactions for employees in the current pay cycle being processed. Between the “Stop” and “Resume” dates/times listed on the payroll processing schedule, all invalid transactions will now trigger an error message.

Note: Users can still view and submit transactions for employees that are not in the current pay cycle being processed.

UCPath Availability Monitoring Dashboard

On May 9, the UCPath Center (UCPC) announced a new system monitoring feature for UCPath. After meeting with UC Locations to introduce the dashboard, UCPC provided additional context about the enhancement in this FAQ.


UCPath Metrics Site

Recently, the UCPath Center (UCPC) launched the UCPath Metrics Dashboard.

This new site takes reporting to the next level by providing in-depth analysis, comparative review, and improved access to download underlying data. This increases efficiency, allowing UCPC to deliver more complete and actionable operational metrics.

Expedited Benefits Reinstatement

Once an employees’ benefits are terminated, retroactive corrections or updates will not immediately reinstate benefits. After retroactive changes are made to Job Data, the systematic re-evaluation of benefits can take up to 30 days

  • When there is an immediate need for benefits reinstatement, call (855) 982-7284 or submit a case with “Expedited Benefits” in the subject line. Note: It is not necessary to contact QCU

Telephone Service Transition

Effective, May 25, 2022, the UCPath Center (UCPC) will transition to a new phone system provider provider, Talkdesk. Phone service may be temporarily interrupted during this transition.

  • You may continue to submit online cases directly to UCPC. Ask UCPath and chat functionality are NOT impacted by phone service disruptions.


Request to Update Your Address

On May 11, the UCPath Center requested that 71 UCLA Campus employees and 10 UCLA Medical Center employees update personal information to satisfy a UC Health Benefit vendor requirement.

Washington Cares Fund Premiums

On May 18, the UCPath Center (UCPC) issued a refund of premiums collected for long-term care insurance benefit. Previously, UCPC notified Washington State residents that these premiums would be deducted effective January 1. The remaining payroll deductions have been waived until July 1, 2023.
