The UCPath March 11, 2024 UCPath Release included updates to:
- PUM 47 Upgrade: This includes a MuleSoft 4.4 upgrade and a migration of GoAnywhere hosting to Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Automate Disability Reinstatement: Voluntary disability plans will be automatically reinstated, when applicable, for employees returning from an approved Leave of Absence (LOA).
Learn more on the Employee Case Assist / PUM Upgrade Projects page.
Updates to the following projects were postponed:
- Employee Case Assist: Updates to the Employee Case Assist functionalities have been postponed until April 15, 2024.
- Manage Job Tile: UCLA will be postponing implementation of the Manage Job Tile release.
Updates to the Employee Case Assist functionalities will go live on April 15, 2024. Two key advancements in Ask UCPath will be launched:
- Reopen Inquiries
- This new feature enables users to reopen previously closed inquiries that require further attention, replacing the current “pending closure” and “follow-up” processes.
- Self-close Inquiries
- Users will be able to close their inquiries when issues have been resolved or when UCPath assistance is no longer required.
To learn more about these updates, access UCPath's recent slide deck.

UCPath created a new processing schedule for SCT transactions so users can track deadlines for SCT approvals and when they should expect to see approved transactions in the Labor and General Ledgers. UCPath modified the processing schedule for Direct Retro transactions to occur on a monthly basis.
Use our updated calendar with two components to identify deadlines for SCT transactions (Tab 1) and Direct Retro transactions (Tab 2).
An exciting new benefit is available for faculty and staff! UC now provides fully paid comprehensive identity theft protection for employees and their dependent children under age 18 through Experian. On April 1, 2024, you should have received a welcome email from Experian with a personalized link to access the Experian portal and complete your account set-up.
The benefit is automatically available to eligible UC members, but you'll need to create an Experian account and if applicable, enroll eligible dependents in order to use the plan. Access our recent article to learn about the plan, how to activate your benefit, view resources, and more!
Each quarter, UC requests review of employee records and contingent worker records with an upcoming "Expected Job End Date." UCPath will automatically terminate employees and contingent workers who have an "Expected Job End Date" and "End Job Automatically Box" indicated on their record on the listed date.
Most recently, UCPath asked users to review records with an "Expected Job End Date" of 3/31/24. To learn more, including steps to take in the event of an erroneous termination, please review our recent article.
UCLA Tracker Administrator Office Hours now requires registration for each session you wish to attend. Office hours are held on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to provide users support with E-Verify, Form I-9, Tracker and more.
The Zoom invitation will be sent to the email address you provided on the registration form. Please register using your UCLA email address.

As initiators and approvers it is important that the data you enter on employees' UCPath records is accurate and in conformance with UC Policies, Procedures, and applicable State Laws. This course will include information regarding Staff Programs and Employee Groups.

During the week of March 26, some current and separated UCLA employees were erroneously mailed a collection notice from Coast Professional, Inc. (Coast). This third-party company is partnered with UCPath for the collection of overdue funds.
This collection notice has been redacted and no action is required on the recipient's behalf at this time. The letters were erroneously distributed prior to verification of overdue account information with UCPath.
In the near future, Coast will verify overdue account information with UCPath. Individuals who qualify for a new collection letter will receive a follow-up notice from UCPath, then a valid invoice from Coast.
The next CRU Newsletter will be published in May 2024. During the month of May, we will:

There will be no office closures during April, 2024 for CRU/UCLA Payroll Partner Office.
