PayPath Lockdown
BW: July 11-14
To avoid delays in payroll processing, the UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages from Tuesday, July 11, 5PM, through Friday, July 14, 6AM.

July Retirements COLA Deadline for BW Retirees
To ensure employees who are retiring on July 1, 2023, receive a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), they must be terminated and have at least a one-day break in service. As a reminder, submit final pay requests for accrual payouts as appropriate by the following deadline:
- Thursday, July 6, 2023, 5:00 p.m. | Biweekly retirees for the July 19 pay date (230708B2X)

UCPath General Ledger and Funding News
FYE 2023 Payroll Deadline:
Payroll (UCPath) Direct Retros
All Salary Cost Transfers that pertain to FY2023 must be approved in UCPath by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7 in order to be included in the FINAL FY2023 SCT Batch process.
UCPath GL Outage July 8-10
UCPath's general ledger (GL) will be unavailable from Saturday, July 8, 7:00 a.m. to Monday, July 10, 7:00 a.m., to support the implementation of UCR's Oracle Cloud Financials changes. See UCPath July 2023 Release Summary.
Direct Retro Processing Schedule 2023-2024
UCPath recently updated the Direct Retro Processing Schedule. This schedule outlines when direct retros must be approved in order to be picked up and posted to the Labor Ledger. It also identifies when you can expect to see the approved direct retros in the Labor Ledger and, subsequently, in the General Ledger.
July 2023 through September 2023 dates are now available in this knowledge base article.

Form I-9 Webinar Coming Soon
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced the temporary flexibilities for Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, will end on July 31, 2023. Additionally, employers must complete in-person physical document inspections for employees whose documents were inspected remotely during the temporary flexibilities by August 30, 2023.
We know that you have questions about this upcoming change, so we are excited to announce we will be offering a virtual Form I-9 webinar. This forum will help you prepare for the upcoming changes and understand how the end of the requirement flexibility impacts Form I-9 procedures. You’ll also have an opportunity to have your questions answered live during the session!
