UCPath GL Outage July 8-10

UCPath's general ledger (GL) will be unavailable from Saturday, July 8, 7:00 a.m. to Monday, July 10, 7:00 a.m., to support the Oracle Cloud Financials changes being implemented in the July release

Users can access the following new Workforce Administration and Academic training materials in the UCPath help site.

  • New job aid Manage Job_Job Data Modernization to demonstrate how to use the Manage Job tile in UCPath.
    • Recent updates to this job aid highlight that transactors should review the expected job end date field to avoid hard message errors
    • Validation for step-based positions will generate an expected error and will not prevent submission of the transaction.
  • New job aid Manage Job_Job Data Modernization Opt Out to demonstrate how to use new the Manage Job tile in view only mode in UCPath
  • New job aid Manage Job _Job Data Modernization Action Reason Codes Descriptions displays a list of actions and reason codes and descriptions for the new Manage Job Tile.
  • New Manage Job _Job Data Modernization video walkthrough of the Manage Job tile in UCPath
  • A new Academic job aid that outlines the job set up and payroll component information for GSR trainees/Fellows
  • The UCPath training team updated training materials in the UCPath help site to support the Lived Name changes implemented June 20, including Name and Legal Name changes, search page updates, page name changes and navigation changes.

Did You Know?

An invalid or missing social security number can impact an employee’s health, welfare and retirement benefits

  • Employees can make updates in Employee Self Service by navigating to Employee Actions > Personal Information > Personal Information Summary.
  • Once the change is made and submitted, UCPath will validate the update and validate the employee’s legal name, date of birth and social security number with the Social Security Administration. This process can take 2-3 business days.
  • Employees will receive an approved or denied email notification at their primary email address. If denied, the email will explain the reason. The employee should then validate the number or contact the Social Security Administration for assistance.
