PayPath Lockdown

BW: Mar 7-10

To avoid delays in payroll processing, the UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages from Tuesday, March 7, 5PM, through Friday, March 10, 6AM.

Refer to the UCPath Production Processing Schedule for start and stop times of the Pay Confirm.

Processing Schedule Job Aid Update

The UCPath Center recently updated the Review the Payroll Processing Schedule job aid. It now includes:

  • Mass PayPath pay frequency details for the Stop Processing PayPath column
  • Up-to-date GL Post Confirm column headings

Help Shape the Future of Final Pay

If you process terminations (voluntary and involuntary) and understand how your department manages final pay when an employee has more than one job in UCPath, complete our 3-minute survey by March 10 at 5pm.

: The survey will also ask if you’re interested in participating in our focus group (a 2-hour time commitment).

Job Record End Date Monitoring: Quarterly Reminder

As of March 5, UCLA has more than 3,000 UCPath jobs with an end date of March 31, 2023. ​​In order to avoid unintended job terminations, we recommend doing the following by March 15:

  1. Run the “Jobs with Approaching End Dates” CDW report (CDW navigation: Team Content > UCPath CDW > Workforce Administration > Jobs with Approaching End Dates Report).
  2. Review the pulled records to ensure the March 31, 2023, Expected Job Record End Dates are correct.

New Hire Pilot at Select UC Locations

The UCPath Center launched a new hire pilot process for users at UC Davis, UC Berkeley, and UC San Francisco.

NOTE: UCLA is not a pilot location. Do not use any of the UCPath pilot job aids.

New NDA Requirement for UCPath Access

Starting March 1, DSAs are required to send the DocuSign NDA link to new employees prior to provisioning them any UCPath access.*

  • New employees will need to provide their DSA with proof of their signing (DocuSign email confirmation).
  • DSAs must ensure they receive this proof before granting access.

New Tracker I-9 System Access Requirement

Effective February 13, individuals must provide a Tracker I-9 course completion certificate BEFORE Department Security Administrators (DSA's) can grant access to the Tracker I-9 system.

As initiators and approvers it is important that the data you enter on employees' UCPath records is accurate and in conformance with UC Policies, Procedures, and applicable State Laws. This course will include information regarding Staff Programs and Employee Groups.

Resolved: Calendar Look-Up Not Functioning on Leave Balance Page

On March 3, the UCPath Center resolved the employee Leave Balances page issue that temporarily prevented users from selecting past balances through the calendar look-up feature.   

Please contact UCPath if you continue to experience delays or issues.


UCPath Service Disruption Resolved

On March 3, the UCPath Center (UCPC) resolved a temporary issue with UCPath.  Employees and transactors can now access UCPath. If you continue experiencing difficulty, call UCPC at (855) 982-7284 to speak with an associate M-F between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

USCIS Redesigns Permanent Resident Cards and Employment Authorization Documents

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services began issuing the redesigned cards on January 30, 2023. Some PRC and EAD's issued after January 30 may still display the former design.
