Action Items

Review the following steps to ensure your first UCPath session post go-live runs smoothly:

  1. Review your UCPath portal link.
The main UCPath access URL and login steps have not changed. Ensure you're accessing UCPath through the official URL: https://ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu/. The UCPath login page format has been slightly modified for accessibility purposes.
  2. Prepare for web browser updates.
    • Bookmarks: There were backend URL changes to UCPath pages due to the interface modernization. Please manually update your browser bookmarks for specific UCPath pages.
    • Site Pop-Ups: Ensure pop-ups are enabled for UCPath on your browser. The new interface utilizes the pop-up feature for various UCPath pages and functions.
    • Clear Cache: Please clear your browser's cache prior to accessing UCPath.
  3. Provide employee onboarding details.
The new guided employee onboarding process requires all employees to record certain information in UCPath, including Self-Identification Details. If you haven't provided this information yet, you'll be prompted to do so upon logging into UCPath. Employees will still have the option to select "Decline to State" as a submission.
  4. Review Duo Push guidelines.
If you haven't accessed UCPath in a while, please note the Duo Push authentication update that went into effect December 2024, which implemented enhanced security measures for logging into UCPath through Verified Duo Push.

We encourage you to review the UCPath Project Release: July 2025 web page for detailed project information and resources.
