Your Next Path
UCPath's latest project release is coming next Monday, July 14, 2025!
In a recent message to employees, UCPath shared exciting project updates, including:
- UCPath Interface Modernization / Improve Self-Service: UCPath is getting a new look and feel! A new top-bar navigation menu and landing page will streamline the UCPath experience while maintaining site functionality.
- PUM 49 Upgrade: The annual Peoplesoft Upgrade (PUM) will update the system to Image 49, featuring improvements to search functionality.
Action items and a summary of key changes for these enhancements are outlined in the message below.

Note: UCPath will be unavailable from 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11 through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14 while these projects are moved to production.
Action Items
- Prepare for Browser Updates.
- Bookmarks: There will be backend URL changes to UCPath pages due to the interface modernization. Please be prepared to manually update your browser bookmarks for specific UCPath pages post go-live. The main UCPath access URL and login steps will not change.
- Site Pop-Ups: Ensure pop-ups are enabled for UCPath on your browser. The new interface utilizes the pop-up feature for various UCPath pages and functions.
- Clear Cache: Once the changes have gone live on July 14, please clear your browser's cache to ensure a smooth experience.
- Provide Employee Onboarding Details.
The new guided employee onboarding process requires all employees to record certain information in UCPath, including Self-Identification Details. If you haven't provided this information yet, you'll be prompted to do so upon logging into UCPath on July 14. Employees will still have the option to select "Decline to State" as a submission. The employee onboarding activity guide cannot be bypassed. - Observe UCPath Outages.
Please observe eForm deadlines and freezes while the UCPath system is unavailable from July 11-14, 2025.
UCPath Interface Modernization
The new UCPath interface will provide an enhanced UCPath experience for all employees.
- New Top Navigation Bar: The previous left-hand menu will be replaced with a streamlined top navigation bar that contains updated subpages, including new manager and transactor hubs.
- Update Home Page: An updated Home/Landing page will improve accessibility for common UCPath self-service features such as pay and leave balance summaries. The Alerts & Notices section will display important UCPath news, front and center!
- Improved Functionality: The new layout will offer improved functionality across device types, from desktop to mobile.
Additionally, Transactors and Managers will have access to new UCPath features.
- Self-Service Search: Transactors have expanded search functionality and can access Peoplesoft from the site header (house icon).
- New Hubs: New Transactor and Manager Hubs are accessible in the top navigation menu and consolidate UCPath resources and functions for these users.

Peoplesoft Upgrade (PUM 49)
UCPath will undergo its annual Peoplesoft Upgrade (PUM) from Image 47 to Image 49. Highlights of the update include:
- Search Improvements: UCPath now uses OpenSearch with clearer page titles, making it easier to find what you need.
- Denied Transactions: Denied Manage Human Resources transactions are now viewable in the Organizational Relationship section of UCPath.
- View History Button: Users can toggle between current and historical job data directly from search results by using the “View History” button.
Updated SCT Resources
Updated training resources for the Salary Cost Transfer tool are now available. These updates are related to the retirement of the Direct Retro tool, which occurred in early July, 2025. Please review the UCPath July Project Release web page for a full list of refreshed material.
