On January 27, 2024, employees received an alert from the UCPath Center advising 2023 W-2 statements are now available to access online:
- Employees who opted for an electronic version of their W-2 received an email notification that their W-2 is available.
- Please do not reply to the automated message, it will be routed to an unmonitored mailbox.
- Employees who did not opt-in for an electronic version may still access their W-2 in UCPath, and a printed W-2 will be mailed to the home address listed in UCPath no later than January 31, 2024.
Current Employees
To access your W-2, visit UCPath and click on Employee Actions > Income and Taxes > View Online W-2/W-2C.
- Please use Chrome or Firefox when downloading your form.
Former Employees
Former employees can view and download their UCPath W-2 statements up to three years after their separation date via the following path:
- Visit ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu
- Select "Former Employee"
- Enter your login credentials to access the Former Employee Portal
- Click on Employee Actions > Income and Taxes > View Online W-2/W-2C

Important Security Reminder
The University of California does not send W-2 statements by email or text. If you receive an email or text with a link or an attachment to view a W-2, it is a phishing scam designed to gain your private information. Do not open attachments or click email links claiming to provide access to your W-2.
