Absence Management

Summary

Date

Applied a fix to the “I-299 takes inbound to absence management process – extension process” (E-038) that will identify where the retro takes for a return from leave employee was erroneously applied to the current period

Created a query to eliminate the failure of the “takes inbound to absence management process“ (I-299) process, when the takes hours, is greater than 99.99 and less than -99.99

Improved the absence management calculation performance and updated the absence management rules to reduce or add PTO adjustments properly

Updated the review leave balances by,
-Relabeling the “Leave Balances” field in the employee actions screen to “Accruals and Leave Balances” and “Service Months” field in the employee leave balances screen in UCPath to “Employment Service Months”

- Adding a link below the employment service months section of the leave balances screen to guide employees to UCRAYS, UC Retirement At Your Service https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/retirees/ucrays-how-to-guide.html.

-Adding text explaining how employment service months and retirement service credits are accrued.

Modified the UC_PY_LOADED_RETRO_TRANS_DN query has been updated to:

- Eliminate duplicate rows caused by the same deptid under a different setid.

- Rearrange the name to show as Last Name, First Name

- Only retrieve transactions that belong to the retro module.

Retroactive changes to job data can take 30 days to re-evaluate benefits

  • Job Data attributes – including FTE, Duration and EMPL Class play a significant role in determining benefits eligibility.
  • When retroactive changes are made to Job Data, the systematic re-evaluation of benefits can take up to 30 days. You can submit a case to UCPath to expedite the re-evaluation of benefits if necessary
    • Example: An employee’s FTE was incorrectly set to 1 and has been updated to 0. Submit a case to have the system re-evaluate the employee’s eligibility for benefits
