On July 25, we received the following update from the UCPath Center. Subsequently, UCPath informed all employees who use direct deposit on July 28.
Employees should have their bank account number ready anytime they plan to update or review their direct deposit information in UCPath.
Coming August 24
Due to an increase in fraudulent activity, especially on bank account data, UCPath is implementing additional measures to protect employee data at the end of August. When employees want to view or update their self-service direct deposit information, they will need to complete the account number challenge.
This will be displayed after the employee has completed the self-service security questions.
- Employees will need to enter one full active account number tied to their direct deposit.
- The system allows up to three attempts to enter an active account number correctly. After the 3rd unsuccessful attempt, employees will need to try again the next day.
- This step is required to view or make changes to direct deposit information. This added layer of security is critical in helping safeguard employee financial information.
Thank You,
UCPath
