Updated the UCPath Enroll in Benefits and Life Events/ Benefit Changes pages with information about the duplicate coverage policy.

Created a job that classifies employees with the concurrent appointments Union Code 87 and a zero FTE as secondary and Medical Resident and FTE greater than zero as primary

Updated the retirement eligibility (E-042C) process to populate the DC Supplement eligibility code (EC7) field with a faculty flag ('F') when the eligible faculty makes their final retirement election.

Updated the benefits eligibility rule for rehired employees with 26 weeks to comply with the criteria specified in the Group Insurance Regulations (GIRs)

UCPath GL Outage

UCPath's general ledger (GL) will be unavailable from Saturday, July 8, 7:00 a.m., to Monday, July 10, 6:00 a.m., to support the implementation of UCR's Oracle Cloud Financials changes. GL transactors will not have access to the UCPath GL and will not be able to create funding entry, salary cost transfer or benefit cost transfer transactions

Did you know? 

Only some payroll statuses are evaluated for benefit eligibility.

  • Employees are evaluated for benefit eligibility if they have a “Payroll Status” of active (A), leave with pay (P), or unpaid leave of absence (L)
  • Employees are enrolled in benefit billing if on an unpaid leave of absence (L)
  • Employees on a short work break (W) are not evaluated for benefits eligibility but may be enrolled in benefit billing
  • Check the employee's "Payroll Status" in job data when troubleshooting suspected benefit issues
