PFCB Issue Resolved
UCPath has added a new PFCB Override checkbox to the Request Extended Absence page as part of the UCPath Enhancements released on March 10.
What does the new check box do?
The “PFCB Override” check box is a solution to a system processing defect reported in January 2023. This defect prevents future-calendar-year PFCB submissions for employees who have already exhausted their current calendar year PFCB entitlement.
For example, an employee used all their PFCB entitlement for the 2022 calendar year. In December 2022, the employee requested PFCB in January 2023. The system would not allow the transaction to be processed if the transactor attempted to enter the January leave because the employee’s 2023 PFCB entitlement had not yet updated.
When should I use the check box?
The PFCB Override check box should only be used if PFCB is being entered for the next calendar year and the employee is eligible for FMLA, CFRA, and PFCB in the next calendar year. This scenario will likely only occur when entering PFCB transactions in December and January.
