Delay in October 2023 Month-End Biweekly Payroll Transaction Postings

What Happened?

The 10/28/2023 biweekly payroll (Run ID 231028B1X) was planned to post to the General Ledger (GL) on 11/6/2023. The General Ledger (GL) for October was set to close on 11/7/2023. However, UCLA did not receive UCPath files for this payroll run until 11/8/2023, after the October close deadline.

  • The delay was due to an issue with one of the UCPath Processes that prevented the bursting of data to UCLA and the other UC Locations.
Due to the delay in posting to the GL, transactions associated with the October 28, 2023 biweekly payroll (Run ID 231028B1X) will appear under the November 2023 month in the General Ledger.

Our Next Steps

The UCPath Center (UCPC) will increase proactive communication with all affected locations to address and help prevent future issues. UCPC and UCLA will collaborate to explore resolutions and discuss the possibility of extending the General Ledger month-end date if delays in receiving location data persist.
