You may notice the new Dotted-Line Report field while processing PayPath transactions in UCPath or accessing the Mass PayPath Update template. This update was included in the UCPath changes and enhancements that launched on May 1, 2026. 

While visible to all Initiators and Approvers, this field should only be leveraged by UCLA Health Human Resources transactors.

Campus transactors should leave the Dotted-Line Report field blank when completing PayPath transactions. 

Dotted-Line Report Field Examples

The Dotted-Line Report field was configured to support UCLA Health Human Resources with an internal integration related to their timekeeping system. It leverages an existing field in UCPath Position Data that has always been present, but is not used for UCLA Campus transactions.

No action is required for campus transactions. Campus transactors should not assign value to the Dotted-Line Report field when creating new positions or completing PayPath transactions. The existing guidance to disregard this field for UCPath Position Data remains unchanged.
