On January 9, we received the following alert from the UCPath Center.
Incorrect Local Deductions on Salary Cost Transfers
UCPath discovered a salary cost transfer (SCT) issue resulting in incorrect local deductions for UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC San Francisco and UC Office of the President. There is no impact to other locations.
What happened?
A system update to local assessments on November 25, 2024, led to SCT discrepancies with incorrect deductions taken during SCT processing and recorded on location journals.
Who is affected?
This impacts 1,691 SCTs at the listed locations. UCPath provided a list of affected SCTs to general ledger (GL) teams on January 9, 2025.
How will this issue be resolved?
UCPath began data corrective actions with location GL teams, targeting a system fix prior to the next SCT process run by January 15. Additionally, UCPath will implement measures to prevent future discrepancies. There is no employee impact.
