On August 31, the UCPath Center sent the following Targeted Mass Email reminding employees to enroll in benefits before the 31-day deadline. This communication was sent out to 296 UCLA employees.

Welcome to the University of California!
You are currently eligible to enroll in UC’s benefits program. To complete your enrollment, visit UCPath and follow these enrollment instructions.
Note: You have 31 days from your start date to complete your enrollment. If you miss the 31-day deadline, you may be able to enroll either at the next open enrollment period in the fall of 2022 or if you experience a life event (such as marriage, a new baby, etc.). Some plans, such as disability and supplemental life insurance, may require an additional review of your health status if you enroll after your new hire period of initial eligibility.
The following resources can help you choose from the many benefit options available to you and your dependents:
- New Employee Benefits Orientation: Employees can listen to a recorded version or participate in a live webinar to ask questions and learn more about UC’s benefits program. We highly recommend that you attend the new employee benefits orientation before selecting your benefits, as it will provide you with valuable information and resources. - UC Welcome Kit: This collection of resources, available on UCnet, offers a comprehensive overview of your health and welfare and retirement benefits options, including details about eligibility and how to enroll. For a printed version, please contact your local HR representative.
