What's New?
The Rome Release—October 2023 for Tracker I-9 features numerous enhancements to the form and dashboard, updated functionality, and fixed issues.
We strongly encourage users to review the Miratech Tracker I-9 Release Notes for full details about the update. Highlights from this deployment include:
Form Updates
- Updated list of Acceptable Documents.
- Field updates to Section 1, 2*, 3*.
Dashboard Enhancements
New Employee Search button (previously Resources), relabeling of dashboard buttons, color-coded legend for tracking status of I-9 Tasks. You may need to clear your browser’s cache to refresh the Tracker Dashboard.
Reporting Updates
New alphabetic sort order and new sort filters for I-9 Record Summary List View report.
Fixed Issues
Implemented solutions for Form I-9, E-Verify, Dashboard, API, and Flat File technical errors.
Document Verification Reminders
DHS-Authorized Alterative Procedure Checkbox
Do not use the new DHS-authorized alternative procedure checkbox when completing Section 2 or 3 in Form I-9.
Complete Document Verification in Person
Section 2 Certification and Section 3 Reverification, must be completed based on the original documents provided in person to the department representative or authorized agent on the date the form is signed. The remote/Zoom process should not be utilized to view documents in order to complete the I-9 form.
Update for Document Attachments
Document attachments are no longer required unless the employee needs to be E-Verified. The E-Verify process is only required for UCLA employees paid on a fund that requires E-Verify. A CRU DocuSign case must be created for document submission for the E-Verify process.
