PayPath Lockdown

MO Jan 24-27 | BW Jan 25-28

To avoid delays in payroll processing, UCPath Center will limit system functionality on specific pages during payroll processing from Monday, January 24, 5PM, through Friday, January 28, 6AM.

Paycheck reminders for the new year

As the first bi-weekly and monthly pay was processed for 2022, please see this article on UCnet reminding employees to review the health insurance premiums, benefits, taxes and other considerations on their paystub.

Complete by February 15

If applicable, refresh your status to claim exemption from withholding

The IRS requires employees to complete a new W-4 form each year if they are claiming exemption from tax withholding. Many employees are unaware of this requirement until their net pay is reduced by additional tax withholding in the new year. Please help your employees avoid this scenario by following the steps below:
 

What can you do?

  1. Run a CDW report to identify employees who claimed exemption from tax withholding in 2020. In CDW, search for Employees Claiming Tax Exemptions and then run it for your department.
  2. Remind your employees to log in UCPath Online and make their selection by February 15.

UCPath Notice: Enroll in Benefits

On January 13, the UCPath Center (UCPC) sent a communication to new employees who did not receive their New Hire Benefits kits in the mail. 

  • 59 UCLA Campus and 20 UCLA Medical Center employees received the message.
  • UCPC will send a list of affected employees.

I-9 Processing Procedures

Jan 25-26, 9AM - 4PM

As a reminder, we offer an I-9 Processing Procedures class to help users understand the procedures for completing the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9 Form). This class is valuable to employees with new responsibilities in this area, but it can also be used as a refresher for veterans.

Register for I-9 Processing Procedures class: 1/25/2022 & 1/26/2022, 9AM - 4PM

BW PayPath Lockdown Error

During payroll processing for PPE 1/8/2022 (Run ID 220108B2X), the UCPath Center identified that some monthly transactions were erroneously locked during the biweekly PayPath lockdown window. Subsequently, the issue was fixed. If you had difficulty with MO PayPath transactions January 11-12, please see this article on the CRU website.  

Did You Know

Please be aware that BW and MO PayPath Lockdowns will overlap during the upcoming payroll run.

UCPath Online Demonstrations 

The UCPath Center offers UCPath online demonstrations to show how employees can use the portal for a variety of Employee Self-Service (ESS) tasks every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm (excluding university holidays.)
