Biweekly PayPath Blackout: July 13 - July 16

To avoid delays in payroll processing, please do not approve BW PayPath transactions Tuesday, July 13, 5PM through Friday, July 16, 6AM. For details, please see 2021 UCPath Production Processing Schedule.

We received an update from UCPath Center regarding the PayPath Lockdown Technical Solution that will be implemented effective July 27, 2021. Please note the newly published FAQ.

Summer Session Teaching Payroll Processing Reminder

As a reminder, the deadline for approving Additional Pay transactions for Summer Session Teaching assignments is Tuesday, July 20 by 3:00 PM.

PFCB Workshop Registration Now Available!

CRU is partnering with UCLA Central Offices (CHR, APO, and HHR) to offer PFCB workshops designed with you in mind! These workshops will give you a high-level overview of PFCB and how to transact PFCB within UCPath for your respective employee populations. Please use the following links to enroll in your preferred session:

Did You Know?

HR Smart Templates do not have global (non-US) address logic

  • This means global addresses may not map over correctly from HR Smart Templates to UCPath
  • When working with employees with a global address, we recommend asking the employee to log into UCPath to verify and update their address if necessary

Training Guide – Summer Sessions Teaching

Recently, we updated the document that outlines the procedures for entering data in UCPath related to Summer Session. We added section with instructions in the event the additional payment transaction is not submitted and approved by the payroll processing deadline or the employee is not paid the correct amount.

Corrections to Defined Contribution Plan Contributions

On 7/7/2021, UCPath Center sent the following notice to 48 employees regarding historical under-contributions the following retirement plans:

The UCPath Center offers UCPath online demonstrations to show how employees can use the portal for a variety of Employee Self-Service (ESS) tasks every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm (excluding university holidays.)

Upcoming I-9 Processing Procedures Class: July 14-15

As a reminder, we offer an I-9 Processing Procedures class to help users understand the procedures for completing the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9 Form). This class is valuable to employees with new responsibilities in this area, and it can be used as a refresher for veterans as well. 

While online registration has closed, there are still spaces left in this class. If you would like to register for the course, please send an email to CRU-training@finance.ucla.edu by Tuesday, July 13, 12pm PDT. 

Complete eLearning Courses by July 16

The CRU Training Team is working on updating elearning course content in the LMS (UC Learning Center). 

If you are enrolled and actively completing any of the these 8 UCPath ecourses listed in the UC Learning Center, please complete the course on or before July 16, 2021. Starting on July 17, 2021, the CRU Training Team will be removing existing versions of these courses from the UC Learning Center LMS.
