PayPath Lockdown

Recently, UCPath Training team hosted a webinar to walk through the HR Primary Job Derivation Logic Workflow Job Aid as a review of the new HR Primary Job process. The project team was also in attendance and answered questions for location transaction processors. Fall I-9 Summit Webinar

September 21

With Fall hire season approaching, the CRU Training team is developing an I-9 webinar with you in mind. This forum will help you prepare for the return to campus and understand how the resumption of in-person operations impacts I-9 procedures.

Our Fall I-9 Summit! Topics will include:

  • Tracker Report: overview of the Tracker report you can run to identify remotely onboarded employees
  • Document Review Requirements: discussion of your options for fulfilling the physical document inspection requirements for employees who were remotely onboarded during the flexibility period
  • Updating Tracker: demonstration of updating an employee’s Tracker record (either following in-person document inspection or identifying an Authorized Agent)
  • Document Review Options Moving Forward: review of the options for fulfilling document inspection requirements

I-9 Processing Procedures Training

September 23-24

As a reminder, we offer an I-9 Processing Procedures class to help users understand the procedures for completing the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9 Form). This class is valuable to employees with new responsibilities in this area, and it can be used as a refresher for veterans as well. 

If you experience any difficulties registering for the course, send an email to CRU-training@finance.ucla.edu by Wednesday, September 22, 12pm PDT.

UCPath Update: E-346 Mass Hire Template Enhancements

As the CRU Training Team noted in our Fall Hire Quick Reference Guide below, UCPath will have a new Mass Hire Template effective Friday, October 1, 2021.

  • To allow sufficient time for processing and preparation for this migration, UCPath cannot accept these files between Tuesday, September 28, 2021, and Friday, October 1, 2021.

Our partners at Campus Human Resources sent an update regarding COVID-19 protocols. Please note that changes to data in the "Reports To" field will take 24 hours to reflect on the UCPath Manager Dashboard and UCLA COVID-19 Clearance Portal.

Accruals for Monthly Employees on Paid Family Care Bonding Leave

UCPath Center has identified an issue with monthly employees not accruing hours with earn code “PFL" that are on Paid Family Care Bonding Leave (PFCB).

  • UCPC expects to implement a fix by October 18, 2021. No further action is necessary.

UCPath Online Demonstrations 

The UCPath Center offers UCPath online demonstrations to show how employees can use the portal for a variety of Employee Self-Service (ESS) tasks every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm (excluding university holidays.)
