The UCPath Center recently updated the SCT Processing Schedule. This schedule outlines when transactions must be approved in order to be picked up and posted to the Labor Ledger. It also identifies when you can expect to see the approved transactions in the Labor Ledger and, subsequently, in the General Ledger.
July 2026 through December 2026 dates are now available on Box.
Have you received an automated email regarding UCPath funding updates from Financial System Controls (FSC@finance.ucla.edu) sent through Amazon's email service (amazones.com)? Whether you're a researcher with a new grant or department head tracking expenses, attempting to locate the individual or department that manage a specific fund can be challenging in UCLA's complex financial landscape.
UCLA has simplified this search via the Fund Manager Directory on Box, which lists Fund Managers by Type and Number.
Bookmark this directory for quick access! It’s updated regularly to reflect staff changes and organizational shifts.

UC reports there are employee records and contingent worker records with an "Expected Job End Date" of September 30, 2026. UCPath will automatically terminate employees and contingent workers who have an:
- "Expected Job End Date" of September 30, 2026 and
- "End Job Automatically Box" indicated on their record
Please review job records with upcoming end dates that are scheduled to auto-terminate and determine the required action.
In order to avoid unintended job terminations, we recommend:
- Running the “Jobs with Approaching End Dates” CDW report (CDW navigation: Team Content > UCPath CDW > Workforce Administration > Jobs with Approaching End Dates Report).
- Reviewing the records to ensure the September 30, 2026, Expected Job Record End Dates are correct.
The following protocol is required for submitting off-cycle pay requests (E-078) near quarter-end (in this case, September) for monthly paid employees. This protocol ensures that wages are captured accurately in UCPath for off-cycle payroll periods that span two quarters.
What’s happening?
When initiating off-cycle pay requests, the Pay End Date may erroneously populate with 9/28/26. This could cause a discrepancy in wages captured for the employee. If the Pay End Date populates with 9/1/26, you do not need to follow the protocol below and may proceed as usual.
What’s the protocol?
- Enter 9/1/26 in the Earnings Begin field and 9/28/26 in the Earnings End field of the off-cycle request. You do not need to edit the Pay End Date, which should be 9/28/26.
- If the employee had earnings beyond the Earnings Ends date (from 9/29-9/30), in the comments section, provide the total earnings for the pay period. Example: "Employee is due (insert hours) hours of pay for 09/01/26 to 09/30/26."
- If the employee had no earnings from 9/29-9/30, you do not need to enter a comment.

UCPath Center (UCPC) has implemented a new automated Return from Leave (RFL) notification process for employees returning from an unpaid leave of absence or Short Work Break (SWB).
Currently, employees automatically receive an email with information about benefit reinstatement timelines and UCRP service credit buyback options as soon as an RFL transaction is entered into UCPath. The notification occurs even if their actual return date is weeks or months away.
Since the system cannot distinguish between paid and unpaid leave, some employees returning from fully paid leave may receive notifications that do not apply to their situation.
What Departments Should Do
- Enter RFL transactions no more than 10–15 days before the employee’s return date, when possible.
- Let employees know they may receive an automated UCPath email.
- Reassure employees returning from fully paid leave that the benefits and buyback information may not apply to them.
UCPC is updating the notification language and exploring long-term system enhancements to reduce confusion. Read the full UCPC guidance and recommended best practices on our website.
On September 14, the UCPath Center (UCPC) announced a transition to a standardized monthly UCPath enhancement summary. This new format will make release information easier to locate and provide a more consistent view of UCPath system updates.
The monthly summary will consolidate completed changes and enhancements into a single communication and will replace the weekly Changes & Enhancements emails that we previously summarized for UCLA audiences.
If changes require advance notice or have significant impact, UCPC will continue to communicate separately.
UCPath implemented changes in the August monthly release and made enhancements visible to users on August 31, 2026. Read our website article to learn more about recent enhancements to UCPath and UCPath Online.
Beginning September 1, UCPath job aids and help resources are available through the new UCPath Search experience. The updated format offers improved accessibility, enhanced search functionality, and a streamlined user experience.

- Resources Closer to Work: Users can search for job aids and other help content directly within the UCPath portal.
- Enhanced Web Accessibility: The new format supports assistive technologies and provides a more inclusive experience for accessing UCPath guidance.
